Bettina Brunner is mentor of Guilherme Pereira Maggessi de Oliveira 

Bettina Brunner is an art historian and completed her PhD on the relationship between historical avant-garde film and contemporary moving image practices. She has been Managing Director of the Austrian Ludwig Foundation since 2024. From 2022 to 2023 she was curator at mumok cinema, Vienna, and realized film screenings and discussion programs with Judith Barry, Elisabeth Kihlström, and Antoinette Zwirchmayr, among others. She gained international experience in 2018 as part of a curatorial residency at ISCP, New York and from 2005 to 2010 in London, where she worked at the ICA and British Film Institute. As a freelance curator, she realized several group exhibitions with works by artists such as Ericka Beckmann, Sofie Thorsen and Laure Prouvost. Since 2007, she has published academic and art-critical texts in frieze, springerin, and MIRAJ, among others.
