Tax Numbers, Tax Returns, Income Tax
Deadlines and forms—June marks the deadline for submitting your 2024 income tax return via FinanzOnline. How do you approach it? What is a profit-and-loss statement? What can you deduct from your taxes? Do you even need to contact the tax office, file a tax return, and pay taxes? If so, how much?

This session focuses on grants and awards:
Which ones are exempt from income tax? Grants and awards under the Federal Art Promotion Act are exempt from income tax. "This also applies to essentially equivalent benefits granted under regional laws, as well as grants and awards provided under comparable conditions by national and international funding institutions." [Federal Art Promotion Act § 3 para. 1 (3)]
But what qualifies as "comparable conditions," and what needs to be considered here?

After the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions. The event will be conducted in German. Questions may also be asked in English.

Speakers: Doris Krenn (Tax Advisor)
Moderator: Dila Kaplan (IG Bildende Kunst)
Co-Moderator (Chat): Daniela Koweindl (IG Bildende Kunst)
