The research network of the Ulm association Materialität(en): Transformationen – Rezeptionen - Manifestationen is dedicated to the developments, questions and challenges in dealing with materiality, which range from art sciences to restoration, documentary and artistic perspectives.
On November 15 and 16, 2024, they are organizing the symposiumMaterialität(en): Transformationen – Rezeptionen - Manifestationen in the auditorium of the Hamburg University of Fine Arts (HFBK). The symposium aims to offer the interests of different actors in art-related fields of activity with a materiality-specific orientation a forum for expanded professional dialogue, initiation and multiplication, to overcome the discrepancy between theoretical and applied research and to bring together the professional groups located in the respective fields, to explore their needs and to work out content-related overlaps in a joint dialogue.
Univ.-Prof. Dr. Carolin Bohlmann (Institute for Conservation-Restoration) will represent the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna at the conference.
