FWF | Start Programme
The fundamental aim of the START Programme is the promotion of young researchers with at least two and at most eight years of postdoctoral experience who have already produced scientific work of a top international standard and whose scientific careers to date make it likely that they will continue to perform first-rate research in the future.
A START project which amounts up to EUR 1.2 Mio. (around EUR 200,000 p.a.) should enable project leaders to finance their own research group, if necessary it also offers the possibility to finance the own salary. The START programme is open to excellent researchers from all countries who want to conduct their research at an Austrian research institution. The START Programme is targeted at top researchers of any discipline.
