First UNIQA Art Prize 2024 goes to Emma Hummerhielm Carlén

In cooperation with UNIQA, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna is awarding the UNIQA Art Prize, which is endowed with €15,000, for the first time. This makes it one of the most highly endowed prizes for young artists in Austria. It goes to Emma Hummerhielm Carlén, a sculptor who is able to explore spaces in an extremely differentiated way and who convinced the jury members with her formally precise, minimal and powerful works. The prizewinner's exhibition will open in February 2025 in the foyer of the UNIQA Tower in Vienna.

The jury members 2024:

Ingeborg Erhart (Academy of Fine Arts Vienna), Theresa Hochhauser (UNIQA), René Knapp (UNIQA), Nora Schultz (Academy of Fine Arts Vienna), Thomas D. Trummer (Kunsthaus Bregenz)
