City of Vienna | Cathrin Pichler Prize 2025
This prize will be awarded this year for the eighth time to a student or alumni_alumnae of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, who - in the sense of Cathrin Pichler - deals with specific artistic methods and practices as contribution and intervention to a scientific discourse. The prize is awarded for an existing artistic-scientific work/project.
Prize
The prize is endowed with € 2,500.- sponsored by the City of Vienna.
The certificate will be awarded in the frame of the graduation ceremony on 27 June 2025.
After the submission deadline, an expert jury of teachers from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and external artists or curators will select the prize winner.
Submission
Enrolled students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna as well as graduates who have completed their studies at the academy in the summer semester 2020* or later can submit their projects. The prize is awarded to an artistic-scientific project. (Qualification works such as diplomas, master theses or dissertation projects are excluded!)
