Painted Caves as Media

Stuart Kendall is a writer, editor, and translator working at the intersections of philosophy, poetics, media, and design. He is best known for his writing about and translations of the work of Georges Bataille. He is the author of a biography of Bataille for Reaktion Books and the editor and translator of seven volumes of Bataille’s writings, including editions of Inner Experience, Guilty, and On Nietzsche. His writing on Bataille has appeared in many journals and anthologies.
