Anna Mayer is mentor of Rosa de Coster
Anna Meyer is an artist/painter working in an expanded, installation-based space as well as in outdoor environments. Her visual worlds critically reflect on contemporary events, addressing through painting the stage on which our dilemmas unfold and our search for solutions takes place.
She was born in 1964 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, studied in Zurich and Lucerne, also taught in Lucerne, and has lived in Vienna since 1987.
She has realized various projects and exhibitions in institutions and outdoor spaces, including Weltschmelz, 15 Billboards, Großglockner (2019–2012); Überhall, Galerie Krobath, Vienna (2023); Weltschmelz, Lentos Linz (2023); Hopesters, Haus am Lützowplatz, Berlin (2021); Auf den Schultern von Riesinnen, Künstlerhaus Vienna (2024); Planet B Haus, Bauhaus Dessau (2024); Hier ist Dort, 2 Billboards, Sihlquai/Zurich (2023).
