Doris Uhlich, * 1977 in Upper Austria, is a choreographer, performer, and dance educator based in Vienna. In her productions, she often challenges conventional formats and body images, working with people of diverse backgrounds and physical characteristics. She highlights the potential of nudity beyond eroticism and provocation, explores the complex relationship between humans and machines, and examines the future of the human body in the age of surgical and genetic perfection.
Uhlich has received numerous awards, and her works tour internationally. Additionally, she teaches internationally and holds teaching positions at universities, including the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and the Master's program in Contemporary Arts Practice (CAP) at the mdw / Vienna.
