In the introductory seminar the focus is on developing a concept for a video project. In parallel I will provide theoretical and technical basics to stimulate and support the process of conceptualization and to convey important mediaspecific tools.Inputs are introductory film/video programs, camera training, program introductions (audio and video editing/compositing) and feedback talks. At the end of the semester the concepts are presented and discussed in the group. It is not about presenting a finished video, but filmic materials that make the process visible and discussable (this can be video sketches, test recordings, trailers, research materials and much more).
