Starting from the essay The commons: Infrastructures for troubling times by the late cultural theorist Lauren Berlant, this workshop aims to approach, through reading and writing, what Berlant describes in relation to the poet Juliana Spahr as a poetic "holding environment" that articulates and deforms the commons: verses move through mesosphere, stratosphere, islands, cities, spaces, hands, cells.
