The Graphic Collection of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna holds over 100,000 inventory numbers of drawings, prints and photographs from various periods of art history from the 14th century to the present day. These works of art are very sensitive to light, which is why they are rarely on public display and are usually kept in storage. The Graphic Collection therefore offers the opportunity to gain an insight into its holdings in the form of a study hall tour.

This time, the focus is on flower and plant depictions. From the total holdings of over 900 such individual sheets, watercolours from a 17th century florilegium, handcrafted designs from the Vienna School of Drawing, drawings from the flower painting class of the Vienna Academy, designs for Anton Hartinger's Paradisus Vindobonensis, Moritz Michael Daffinger's finest watercolours of flowers and nature self-prints from the 19th and 20th centuries will be presented.
