Sabeth Buchmann: In the shadow of the pictures
Insofar as the image stage often serves the (self-)representation of artists as a reflection medium of the economies within which they act as trading partners, the lecture aims at cross-historical resonances between individuation and market processes. The focus will be on Klaus Scherübel's self-positioning as a researcher and mediator, which he includes in the scenic deconstruction of Cranach's personification and abstraction of (pre-)modern trade.
