Guided tour on Easter Sunday
Guided tour of the exhibition Considering the Collection with "thematic Easter excursions" to the 18th century to Friedrich Gottlieb Klopstock's Messiah as well as the cult of Christ's side wound, which can be seen in the current exhibition Wild Apollo's Arrows in the Paintings Gallery and Exhibit Gallery.
With his epic The Messiah. A heroic poem Klopstock became the idol of a new movement. In contrast to the rational thinking of the Enlightenment, the gaze was directed inwards – a cultural-historical change. From 1740 onwards, the exaltation of emotions, the fantastic and the spiritual gained in importance.
