Kiosk – New Online Platform for Study Information
Kiosk, the new platform for study information at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, has recently gone online in its full version in English and German. It offers comprehensive information on study programmes, application, counselling and all kinds of practical information about studying. New contributions from students are being published regularly.
Kiosk is primarily aimed at school pupils, young adults and career changers for whom access to knowledge about artistic professions and study programmes is difficult due to their social and local circumstances.
On Kiosk, students share information, experiences and tips on applying, studying and everyday life at the Academy. There is also a section on educational pathways, in which we show people who have studied or work at the Academy. A simple contact option, a detailed presentation of the locations and counselling services round off the clearly structured site.
The new Kiosk platform for inclusive, diverse and easily accessible study information is the result of the project “Encouraging Diversity: Developing a process-oriented information and communication platform for art studies fostering social inclusion” funded by the BMBWF. Numerous students, staff and project partners were involved in the development in a long process that was also made more difficult by the pandemic.
Further information about the project and the development of the platform, such as the accompanying school workshops, further staff training and the development of the name, is also available on Kiosk: https://kiosk.akbild.ac.at/de/ueber-uns
