  • Ans Licht!: This live talk, together with "Scheuba fragt nach" brings together two of Austria's most important whistleblowers and two established investigative journalists. On April 22, 2025, at 18 h in the NIG at the University of Vienna, Lecture Hall 1.
  • Social Leadership Program: Two-year social leadership program for ambitious university graduates from Teach for Austria - application deadline May 4, 2025.

Birgit Jürgenssen Award Winner 2025: Antonia De La Luz Kašik

The 2025 Birgit Jürgenssen Prize, endowed with5,000 euro, will be awarded to artist Antonia De La Luz Kašik. The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in the Aula of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Since September 2024, UEMA in São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil, has been a new partner university of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna as part of an Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility project.

Bulgarian engraver Nikola Popov: Exhibition and donations

On April 9, an exhibition on Nikola Popov's work opens at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute – "Haus Wittgenstein." Popov studied at the Special School for Engravers at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from 1890 to 1895. In 2024, the University Archive received two donations: a print by Popov and two documents from his student days.
