Newsletter Art and Research, December 2024

Dear colleagues,
dear alumni_ae,

We are pleased to inform you once again about numerous calls for proposals and competitions in our last newsletter of the year.

First and foremost, however, we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all our colleagues on their great successes.

We would like to draw your attention in particular to the publication of the 5th Africa-UniNet Call. The aim of this call is the transdisciplinary exchange of knowledge between Austrian and African universities through project work. If you are interested, please contact kfs@akbild.ac.at at any time.

Furthermore, we would like to inform you about the Heritage Science Call of the ÖAW. The objective of this call is to set further sustainable research impulses in the field of the Austrian Heritage Science Community, to strengthen basic research and application-oriented research in this specific form and to consolidate the anchoring in the relevant European research infrastructure.

The FWF is offering a coaching workshop for the PEEK program on 28 January 2025. After successful PEEK submission, there is the possibility of reimbursement of the participation fee by the Academy. If you are interested, please contact kfs@akbild.ac.at in advance. Please also note the other ongoing FWF programs without deadline, e.g. ESPRIT, Stand-Alone-Projects, Collaboration Projects International, Book Publications, etc., as well as the FWF programs with deadline, e.g. Emerging Fields, #Connecting Minds, 1000 Ideas, netidee SCIENCE etc.

Lastly, would like to draw your attention to the Academy's publication funding programs, such as the "Going Book" call and the Open Access publication funding.

We wish you a wonderful Advent season, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2024 and look forward to many more submissions and successes in the New Year.

With best regards from Art | Research | Support,
Michaela Glanz, Teresa Beer, Julia Preisker, Sabine Priglinger, Paul Reiter, Sophie Schober
