Doc-team is a funding programme run by the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW). Its purpose is to enable young, excellent doctoral candidates from the humanities, cultural studies and social sciences to carry out their dissertation project within a definable period of time by cooperating on a research project across discipline boundaries in teams of 3-4 members.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • maximum age of 30 years
    or
    max. 4 years after completion of the Diplom or Master degree (for exceptions see programme information)
  • Austrian citizenship or enrolment as a doctoral candidate at an Austrian university

The granted amount of Funding is 35,000 Euro per person (annually before tax), in addition, max. 4,000 Euro for travel expenses; maximum funding duration: 36 months.
