The START Programme of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) offers outstanding young researchers of any discipline the funding to guild up or consolidate their own research groups thereby qualifying themselves for senior scientific positions.

Application requirements include: 2 to 8 years after completion of doctoral degree, exceptional international track record incl. research stay abroad of at least one year. The funding volume will max 1.2 mio. Euro for 6 years. The funding decision will be taken by an international jury in June 2016.
