For the year 2022, periscope addresses its call for proposals on the topic of digitality to Austrian and international artists.

There are three focal points for submissions:

  • 1) personal presentation of artistical practice, first performances
  • 2) contributions to side- and space-specific topics
  • 3) digitality as strategy for artistic production:

Particularly the Covid-19 situation has emphasized the possibilities of digitalisation in social fields and communication. periscope is interested in an artistic-productive way of dealing with digitality. Which topics, which artistic forms of production do contemporary artists derive from digitality? Which critical approach to the world of data is taking place, what do artists observe at digital processes and products? How do artists use digital means between production and reflection?
