Fifty Twenty | Open Call 2024
Fifty Twenty sees itself as a funding institution for contemporary art and its discourses. Existing works or new productions can be submitted for the 2024 annual programme.
The exhibition program offers space for critical artistic practices, it includes juried individual presentations, curated group exhibitions and performative formats. The focus is on artists who live and work in Austria. The call for applications for the 2024 annual program does not follow a thematic superstructure this time.
If you would like to show an existing work as part of our annual program, we ask for meaningful documentation or a portfolio (as PDF, max. 5 MB). For new productions and curated projects, please submit a concept (max. 1,000 words) and a preliminary financial plan. If the costs exceed € 5,000 additional funding partners are required. Please send the documents to kontakt@5020.info, exclusively via wetransfer.com, subject "Annual program 2024", stating the full contact details. For films and video works, we ask for a Vimeo or YouTube link.
Our jury consists of the artist board and the management of the fifty-twenty and, if necessary, an artistic advisory board. We are committed to fair working conditions and transparency in cultural institutions. Accordingly, all selected artists receive a fee and we contribute to the production and travel costs as far as we can.
Submissions that arrive too late cannot be considered. All applicants will be informed by e-mail about the result of the selection process by December 2023 at the latest.
