ifk | Junior Fellowship 2025
The ifk Junior Fellowships are intended for young Austrian academics doing their dissertations, as well as for non-Austrian doctoral students who are being supervised at an Austrian university.
The dissertation project must be an interdisciplinary undertaking in the humanities, social sciences or art that addresses the study of culture(s), its issues and methods.
ifk Junior Fellowships include a monthly grant of €1,650 plus rent allowance and a workstation at the ifk with computer and internet access; the receipt of the scholarship is tied to residency at the ifk.
ifk Junior Fellowships are granted for one academic year (October 1 to June 30), with the possibility of a scholarship abroad in the following year.
Applications can be submitted in either German or English.
