KÖR Wien Curators | Residency program in Chisinau and New York

In 2024, the KÖR Vienna Curators in Residence program will offer two three-month residencies for the first time, each for a curator with a connection to Vienna, either at the Austrian Cultural Forum New York or at the Austrian Embassy in Chisinau.

The aim of the program developed by Kunst im öffentlichen Raum GmbH in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA) is to promote future-oriented curatorial practice, research and discourse in the field of art in public space as well as sustainable international networking. The program is aimed at curators who work in public space and whose central interest lies in this social space and the development of new perspectives such as innovative models of participatory or collaborative formats through to strategies of networked or discursive action.

The costs for travel and the residency stay as well as a monthly residency fee for living expenses will be covered. Accommodation is reserved by the Austrian representations (Cultural Forum or Embassy), teleworking places are available at the Austrian representations and complementarily in the respective accommodation.
