Nordic Journal for Artistic Research | VIS Open Call

The 13 issue of VIS seeks expositions for artistic exploration, emphasising exploration of imagined realms — a fleeting yet delightful sight into an imaginative future, a momentary glimpse into a potential future that is both accessible and tangible, a brief utopia, a brieftopia. A brieftopia represents a momentary burst of imaginative thinking that happens in the present. Here, artistic researchers blend their artistic ideas with thoughts about how the world might change in the future. It’s a brief moment of escape from reality to imagine a tangible future that provides the potential to navigate ourselves.

Editor is Behzad Khosravi Noori. The call is open between 8 April and 27 May 2024. Exposition proposals can be in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, or English.
