Cancelled: Summer semester 2020 Welcome Event & Launch of Coffee Table Talks
The Doctoral Center is pleased to invite you to a Summer Semester 2020 Welcome Event! At the Welcome Event, doctoral students can inform themselves about the offers of the doctoral center and get to know colleagues. This event takes place in English.
The Doctoral Centre welcomes new and continuing doctoral students to its welcome event for the summer semester 2020. The Welcome Event is intended as a Meet & Greet, where you can meet colleagues, discuss your questions and research topics, and inform yourselves about the activities of the Center for Doctoral Studies. There will be a short introduction to the Center for Doctoral Studies and its services, as well as a short Q & A afterwards. Stay on, as there will be cookies and coffees afterwards.
The Welcome Event is also the inauguration event of a new series of talks taking place the first Wednesday of each month. Titled “Coffee Table Talks”, these events provide short input sessions of doctoral candidates detailing their experiences with scholarship applications, stays abroad, and “lessons learned” that they would like to pass on to their colleagues. Coffee Table Talks have an input of 10-20 minutes, with a Q&A and coffee and cookies. The first Coffee Table Talk will take place on April 1 st 2020 on “How to prepare for an ÖAW DOC application”, held by Martina Gimplinger, M.A.
