This one-day, practice-oriented workshop is designed to help PhD students effectively present their dissertation projects through a compelling exposé. 

Participants will delve into the function, structure, central content, and lines of argument essential for a well-crafted exposé, while also focusing on clear and engaging writing styles. The workshop will introduce various writing and working strategies, allowing participants to exchange ideas and experiment with different writing techniques. The methods employed include input sessions, small group work, and individual work, ensuring that each activity is directly applicable to the participants' own dissertation projects. This hands-on approach aims to enhance both the clarity and appeal of their academic proposals.

Preparation and registration

Please send by Oct 11, 2024 a short abstract of your dissertation exposé (approx. 1 A4 page), so that the trainer can find out about the topic and project in advance.
You can register to the workshop, if you are enrolled and a regular student at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna or University of Arts Linz.
Please register until the latest Oct 11, 2024 via doktoratszentrum@akbild.ac.at with the subject "Workshop October 2024" and a current certification of enrollment.
The workshop is limited for max. 15 persons (first come, first serve).
