Silvia Eiblmayr | Curator and author

Silvia Eiblmayr holds a Dr. phil. in art history and works as a curator and author in the field of contemporary art. From 1993–1995 she was director of the Salzburger Kunstverein and from 1998–2008 of the Galerie im Taxispalais in Innsbruck. In 2009 she was together with VALIE EXPORT commissioner of the Austria Pavilion at the 53rd International Art Biennale in Venice. From 1988 to 2012 she held a number of teaching positions and visiting professorships in Austria and abroad. She is the author and editor of numerous texts and publications. The book was published: The woman as image - the female body in 20th century art (1993/2003). She has been a member of the jury of Kontakt. The Art Collection of Erste Group and ERSTE Foundation since 2014 as well as a member of the jury for art in public spaces in Lower Austria since 2016.
