Care has emerged as one of the most pressing concerns at our global present. Feminist activism and theory have made major contributions to understanding economic, political, and ecological conflict tied to social reproduction and ethics of care. The 25 contributions to the volume Radicalizing Care. Feminist and Queer Activism in Curating , provide critical insights and healing practices that take seriously that the Latin root of the modern word curating means care.
Vera Hofmann, who focuses on artistic practice on crises and queer/ing resistance and Birgit Bosold, member of the board of directors of Schwules Museum Berlin, will give a keynote lecture on Year of the Women* at Schwules Museum Berlin. The lecture is followed by a conversation between Elke Krasny, Sophie Lingg, and Lena Fritsch, Birgit Bosold and Vera Hofmann who co-edited the volume.
