Spotlight | students 2024 competition for young talents
Spotlight STUDENTS is the name of the young talent competition for spots and formats of moving image communication produced and submitted by film students.
Competition entries are all forms of moving image communication that can be submitted in the following categories and were produced and finalised in German-speaking countries after 01.10.2022.
Category 1: TV & CINEMA max. 120 sec.
Single spot / campaign
- TV and cinema spots in all areas from brand advertising to social advertising
Category 2: WEB & MOBILE max. 300 sec.
- Online single spots, films produced for the digital space
- Digital campaign, (explanatory film) Online campaigns (websites, microsites, viral marketing) Online campaigns that convey marketing messages via topic-relevant content platforms and by involving consumers
- Mobile/App, (explanatory film) advertising media and apps specially developed for mobile devices
Category 3: SOCIAL IMPACT max. 300 sec.
- All moving image contributions with socio-politically and/or ecologically relevant messages from companies, initiatives, NGOs, start-ups, private individuals, public figures, influencers, etc.
Category 4: AI - DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION max. 180 sec.
- Entries that redefine the boundaries of what is possible through groundbreaking creative use of artificial intelligence in moving image communication (max. 180 sec.)
- Please note: Please briefly explain in the online entry form what kind and how AI was used in the submitted entry.
Category 5: ANIMATION & VFX max. 120 sec.
- Spots in which animation or visual effects are a significant component, or contributions that are completely animated or whose image components have been artificially altered or supplemented in whole or in part in order to generate a new kind of viewing experience.
