My preferred artistic medium is …
I guess you’d call it sculpture.

My art in three words…
This question is difficult to answer as it almost feels reductive to summarize a whole practice into just three buzzwords. If I had to, I might say: objects, things, and stuff.

A recurring theme in my work is…
There are several different themes in my work, though they´re not easy to articulate. I think it’s often about hierarchies, functionality, and wondering why things are the way they are—and whether they absolutely have to be that way.

I draw inspiration for my art from...
That´s a difficult question, and I can't say for sure. Because it can come from anywhere, really. I read a lot of poetry and literature, and I'm sure those influences seep in subconsciously. But I can´t pinpoint exactly how—it’s not something I consciously control.

When it comes to materials, it's important to me that...
I cannot say what's important, I think. But I work a lot with things and materials that already have some sort of inherent meaning—-things we instantly recognize. I don’t disguise them; instead I try to make use of the language they already contain.

My greatest artistic achievement so far…
I think my biggest achievement so far is to keep doing it.

The feedback that influenced me the most...
I don't think I can remember right now.

If I could give advice to other emerging artists, it would be...
I don't think I'm in a very good position to give advice. Maybe: don’t do it? If you can imagine doing something else, try that instead.

The transition from studying to artistic independence means to me...
It is still new to me, so I´m still figuring it out. The biggest difference is having to structure things yourself. And to hold on to what it is you want and not get swept away by all the different ways you can be an artist

My studio in the Creative Cluster is a place where...
… I go to work.

An artistic idea or a project I'm excited to realize…
I'm going to make a public commission in Karlshamn, in the south of Sweden. It´s going to be permanent and it will be the first time I'm really working in the public space. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
