Lukas Kötz
Lukas Kötz (*1996), lives and works in Vienna. He studied stage design with Anna Viebrock and Nina von Mechow at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and for a semester abroad at Kyoto University of the Arts in Japan. In 2022 he completed his studies with a performative work, for which he received the appreciation award of the Federal Ministry of Science and Culture together with Ella Steinbach and Xandi Vogler.
In addition to stage designs in the fields of theater and performance (for example at the Theater Göttingen and the Tanzquartier Wien), he also creates site-specific works that are often based on a collective work process. Based on space and environment, his interest lies in temporal and performative experiments at the interface of theater and visual arts.
