Andrea Zabric

Andrea Zabric is a painter who engages with this medium on several levels. Her language is mutually shaped by the processes of image creation and encounter, applied across various media, including compressing pigment powder, designing work garments, scripting radio broadcasts, and creating painterly installations. She graduated with a master's degree in Critical Studies from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in 2022. Her master project Painter-Antenna explored ontological perspectives of painting practice through feminist-psychoanalytic approaches.

Andrea Zabric has participated in four solo and numerous group exhibitions internationally, including recent presentations at Kunstverein Salzburg and Galerija Kranjčar in Zagreb. She is currently a research associate in the Education and Learning Department at the Museum Brandhorst in Munich. In addition, she engages in interdisciplinary practices with institutions such as Radio Študent Ljubljana. Her work spans various formats, including publications, podcasts, and lecture series, while she resides and works between Vienna, Ljubljana, and Munich.
