Anna Mutschlechner-Dean, *1999, lives and works in Vienna. In 2023, she completed her studies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in Transmedial Art. She employs an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating film, sculpture, and sound, with a focus on performative and digital methods. Her practice delves into cognitive phenomena, questions of human identity, and individual perceptions of reality. The central theme revolves around the relationship between humans, their environment, and nature. Engaging with the human connection to external contexts, her work aims to foster an extended dialogue on individual and collective, socio-politically influenced behavioral and perceptual patterns.
Her works have been exhibited at various venues, including Parallel Vienna (Vienna), MoCDA - Museum of Contemporary Digital Art, RIFF Reaktor International Film Festival (Vienna), CICA Museum (South Korea), das weisse haus (Vienna), Festival der Regionen (Linz), Ars Electronica Animation Festival (Linz), and Artemis Gallery (Lisbon). Additionally, she has participated as a performer in projects such as Reaktor Potenziale 2021 (Vienna). In 2023, she was awarded the Start Scholarship for Media Art from the Bmkös.
