Rebecca Rothenborg

Rebecca Rothenborg, * 1996 in Copenhagen, is educated from Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna where she graduated in 2023.

She produces garments in materials that transform them into tools for practical use as well as furniture that refuses to be used as it ought to. Her sculptures, which are made using anything from wood and steel to kitchen towels and broom sticks, invoke imaginings of what impossible actions one would have to undertake in order to use, wear or interact with these objects.

Rebecca Rothenborg has exhibited in Austria, Denmark, Iceland and Germany.
