Jamile Azadfallah
Jamile Azadfallah is mentee of Ulrike Müller.
Jamile Azadfallah, born in 1985 in Karaj, Iran, studied Visual Communication and Graphic Design at the University of Tehran. She continued her education at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in the field of Art and Photography under the direction of Martin Guttman, where she engaged deeply with various media.
In her work, Azadfallah combines the visual qualities of painting, sculpture, and photography to create a layered space that becomes tangible within two-dimensional images. Each medium contributes its unique qualities, which are captured, transformed, and fused into a new unity through photography.
Her work has garnered recognition from various juries: she was nominated for the Ö1 Talent Scholarship and received the Society of Friends of Fine Arts Award for her diploma project. In 2024, she received a scholarship from the BMKÖS for a three-month residency in Seoul.
