The University Library's charity book bazaar for the benefit of VinziWerke, a community for alleviating poverty and overcoming homelessness in Austria.

In the historical ambience of the University Library, artistically designed by Theophil Hansen, you will discover a colorful selection of books, exhibition catalogs, and specialist journals from all areas of art, architecture, and art theory, provided by the institutions, collections, and staff of the Academy.

Find what you have been searching for, discover something surprising, and provide quality of life with your donation! Pay what you can!

Your donations will benefit VinziWerke, which was founded in 1990 and offers unbureaucratic, fast and sometimes unconventional help to people who have lost their way and are therefore living in poverty.

In the currently forty VinziWerke institutions in Styria, Vienna and Salzburg, people find shelter every day and are provided with food and groceries in a variety of facilities - e.g. VinziDorf (home for the homeless), VinziBett (emergency shelter for migrants), VinziMarkt (food for the needy), VinziBus (filling station for human warmth).

Poverty has many faces. VinziWerke, which is financed by donations and sponsors, focuses on “ugly” poverty. Without an appointment or long waiting times, people who cannot integrate into any institution or are rejected everywhere can find help here. Help to support the independent, volunteer-based Vinzi communities that strive to make life easier for the poor and reintegrate them into society.

Please also visit the VinziShop; the proceeds from the sale of donations in kind will benefit the VinziBett emergency shelter:
