Cups, Cups, Cups
Hey, grab yourself a cup, it's tea time! On January the 16th, 18th, and 19th, during Rundgang on the first floor above the kitchen at Kurzbauergasse 9, a cozy corner with tea, coffee and ceramics for sale will be open to guests.
Several students from the Kunst und Raum | Installation, Objekt and Raumstrategien departments joined hands to set up a small exhibition dedicated to ceramic works. We warmly invite guests to enjoy tea and coffee in a calm, welcoming atmosphere, where visitors are encouraged to explore, touch, and purchase a variety of ceramic pieces crafted by artists within and beyond their artistic practices. Situated in the liminal space of the hallway between studio spaces and the kitchen, CUPS CUPS CUPS symbolically bridges the different exhibition spaces. Much like its location, the ceramic pieces of CUPS CUPS CUPS also exist on the border of the artists’ core practises. A cup or a small precious art piece can bridge a void in an artistic practice and find a place in your immediate surroundings, participating in your daily life. These parallel activities sometimes cross over into the artists’ regular practice, contributing to important developments. Through this exhibition, the artists of CUPS CUPS CUPS wish to share these creations, offering them at affordable prices so they can continue to participate in the lives and immediate surroundings of others.
