Technical guided tour through the screen printing workshop followed by a guided tour through the exhibition The Cathrin Pichler Archive from RPU-Artaud-001 to DAV-Plakate-029
Technical guided tour through the screen printing workshop on the occasion of the cooperation with the Cathrin Pichler Archive followed by a guided tour through the exhibition “The Cathrin Pichler Archive from RPU-Artaud-001 to DAV-Plakate-029”, Exhibit Gallery with Magdalena Kreinecker (Lekturer Screenprint and Intaglio) and Kirsten Borchert (Head of the Screenprint Workshop )
In cooperation with the Cathrin Pichler Archive, students of Magdalena Kreinecker's course “Technical Basics of Graphics - Screen Printing 2” worked on a semester project in which exemplary archive materials were reproduced. The screen prints of the archive materials provide an insight into the methods and projects of the Viennese curator and scholar Cathrin Pichler (1946-2012), tell of the relevance of her work and at the same time reference the publication accompanying the exhibition. The course therefore intensively dealt with the preparation and translation of the archive material into screen printing. The participating students were supervised in the realization of two subjects, which will be installed in the exhibition.
