Unreadable? Not for me!
Kurrent workshop on 29.11., 6.12. and 13.12.2022 for everyone from 10 to 14 years at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
In the archive of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, young people between the ages of 10 and 14 learn to read and write Kurrent script in a playful way during Advent. During the workshop, participants will visit the archive, receive an introduction to the development of writing, do writing exercises with steel quill and goose quill and learn to read texts in Kurrent script using selected text examples and archive materials. You can also bring documents from home for the workshop, perhaps to decipher old family documents, a secret recipe or the letters of great-grandfather's childhood sweetheart!
The three interconnected workshop units last two hours each. For older young people between 14 and 18, further dates are planned in February!
