During the mobility
During a stay at one of our partner universities, and especially shortly before departure, applicants must adhere to the following.
Erasmus+ and SEMP
- Changes to the Learning Agreement must be entered into the form “Changes of Original Learning Agreement” and confirmed by the partner university.
World Wide Exchange, European Exchange and ASA Art School Alliance
For the documentation of their courses completed at the partner university, students require a Transcript of Records (certificate).
Partner universities outside Europe, ASA and the Art Academy of Düsseldorf have no ECTS (European Credit Transfer System), which is why it is especially important for exchange students to obtain information on the courses they completed there. You will find more detailed information in the section “ Recognitions ”.
- Title and type of course (lecture; workshop, project, tutorial, …)
- Number of credit hours per week and/or exact course times for the entire semester (timetable)
- Content of the courses
- This information can be found on a variety of information media of the respective partner university (course catalogue, study programme, curricula, personal timetables, etc.)
- After the mobility: confirmation that the course was completed successfully (e.g. “successfully completed" or grades and certificates)
If you have any questions regarding the recognition of credits for courses taken abroad, please contact the chair of the relevant curricula commission at the Academy before starting your stay abroad. It might be necessary to obtain an advance notice ( Vorausbescheid ) to determine the equivalence of the courses the student has planned to attend at the host university with the courses in the relevant curriculum (the form is available at the International Office).
Furthermore, you will need to do the following:
- enrol at the Academy also for your semester abroad
- pay the Austrian National Union of Students membership fee: it includes an accident and indemnity insurance on the premises of the partner university and at the Academy
